Frații

These two pieces are called Frații — The Siblings. Through them, I found a way to show how two siblings look from the outside: perfect in all their imperfections.

Making them was a way of accepting my own imperfections. Looking at these two armchairs now, I see how beautiful they both are, and how their differences make them work together.

The colours came from the oranges we shared, split exactly in half, every Christmas as children. I wanted to smell those happy memories when I looked at them, and I did. These two pieces remind me of the closeness between siblings, even when they are very different.

Both pieces have hardwood frames and legs.
