The object's story and details
Eyes modelled in relief, divided by a grid and painted brown, white and green. This papier-mâché work illustrates a Romanian expression about paying attention to everything around you: “keeping four eyes open”.
The grid turns the eyes into a fragmented pattern, close to the expression’s meaning. Looking becomes the subject of the picture, while repeated shapes connect attention, gesture and familiar language.
Dimensions: 32 × 27 cm
