The object's story and details
The Ecoul Gliei vase is hand-modelled from recycled paper and flour in papier-mâché. Its surface is decorated with an eye, an ear of wheat and a cross, motifs inspired by Romanian folk art. It is made without a mould.
The motifs sit on a generous volume, with the texture of paper remaining part of the object’s expression. The vase stays close to traditional forms and symbols, seen through a reclaimed material shaped anew.
