The object's story and details
A liver modelled in papier-mâché relief illustrates the Romanian expression “you've eaten my liver”. The work draws on how language gives annoyance a physical form.
The organ becomes the centre of an expression we normally use without taking it literally. Modelling in relief holds that shift between words spoken in frustration and an object to look at.
