The object's story and details
“Metamorfoza Folclorului” is a small table made from papier-mâché and a piece of polystyrene recovered in Pantelimon. Bright colours, curved lines and motifs inspired by Romanian folk art create a pattern that follows its form.
Tradition appears through colour and ornament in a piece built from materials of everyday life today. The tabletop becomes a meeting place for those references, keeping the transformation of discarded material visible.
