The object's story and details
A white figure holds a modelled, painted onion at its pelvis. The papier-mâché picture translates the curse in its title into an image, retaining its direct humour and absurdity.
The simplified body puts the onion at the centre of the composition. An everyday object carries the whole expression, giving familiar words a form to look at. The work continues a series that models everyday language in three dimensions.
