The object's story and details
A mirror with a hand-carved frame made from fir wood reclaimed from a broken cupboard. Bituminous wax deepens the wood's colour and highlights the carved details.
The carved frame turns the mirror’s outline into a surface to examine closely. Wood from a damaged cupboard remains central to a large piece that brings the room’s reflection and the marks of handwork into one field of view.
Dimensions: 200 × 124 cm
Material: fir wood reclaimed from a broken cupboard
