The object's story and details
A nude figure holds a gold-coloured votive lamp at its pelvis, with a flame painted red. Modelled in papier-mâché from reclaimed packaging, the relief turns the Romanian swear phrase in its title into an image.
The flame’s colour and the oil lamp’s shape focus attention on one point. The image retains the series’ direct language, in which everyday objects carry the meaning of familiar sayings.
Dimensions: 28 × 27 cm
