The object's story and details
“Anxios” gives form to the Romanian expression “to have a carrot up your backside” through a papier-mâché relief. The figure’s tense posture and the carrot retain the words’ direct register.
The title connects the scene to a recognisable feeling, while the image keeps its comic side. Gesture, object and language meet to make unease visible without turning it into a solemn explanation.
