The object's story and details
Ecou Ancestral is inspired by traditional Romanian masks. I composed the image from thousands of leather pieces reclaimed from a cobbler near the workshop, cut and arranged on an OSB board. The work took more than 45 hours.
Small leather fragments build a large portrait together. Their rhythm gives the image texture, making the working time visible alongside the material’s origins in another craft.
