The object's story and details
The Defectul din Pod chair was donated to the workshop with a broken seat and several cracks. I made a sisal seat and highlighted the marks in the wood with gold-coloured metal leaf. The finish is royal blue.
The cracks have become part of the visible design, alongside the new seat. Restoration keeps the marks through which the chair shows its past, bringing them into a relationship with blue and golden accents.
Material
- Wood
- Gold-coloured metal leaf
- Strong natural fibre
