The object's story and details
A papier-mâché fez sits above the word “interesu’” in a direct illustration of the Romanian saying “interesu’ poartă fesu’”, about self-interest driving actions. Text and object complement each other without needing a figure to wear them.
The work starts from personal motives we suspect behind certain actions. A familiar saying becomes a relief composition, retaining both its rhyme and irony.
Dimensions: 34 × 29 cm
