The object's story and details
Two sculpted mouths in opposite corners appear to argue, while the Romanian word for “truth” lies diagonally between them. Made from recycled cardboard in papier-mâché, the work draws on its title: “The truth is always in the middle”.
The word links the two corners and becomes the point the eye returns to. The mouths’ gestures and the text’s position let the expression be read in the picture’s arrangement itself.
