The object's story and details
A stylised crow painted with geometric motifs is modelled in papier-mâché relief. Its colours and ornaments illustrate the Romanian expression “going around with a painted crow”, about using appearances to conceal the truth.
Ornament changes how we see the bird while keeping it recognisable. The work uses that closeness between form and disguise to give volume to an expression about appearances.
Dimensions: 35 × 27 cm
