The object's story and details
A farmer feeds ducks in a papier-mâché relief. The scene takes the Romanian expression “feeding the ducks” literally, playing on the contrast between the peaceful image and the phrase's colloquial meaning.
Feeding the birds lets the image first appear as an ordinary farmyard scene. The expression then changes the reading, preserving the humour between what we see and what we say.
