The object's story and details
A figure with a green cabbage for a head sits with its knees pulled to its chest. The work illustrates a Romanian expression about exhaustion and feeling unable to pull yourself together: “being a cabbage”.
The cabbage head and the figure’s tightly curled posture retain the expression’s mix of vulnerability and humour. A difficult feeling is brought into an image you can recognise immediately.
Dimensions: 32 × 28 cm
