The object's story and details
A walnut sits in a square papier-mâché relief with irregular edges. The work illustrates a Romanian expression about something being completely out of place: “like a walnut against a wall”.
The walnut remains the detail around which the work is read. Background and uneven outline let the saying be recognised simply by placing an object somewhere it seems not to belong.
Dimensions: 30 × 27 cm
